We announce the death of David G. Michelfelder of Galway, New York, who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 80. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave Michelfelder and Betty Czarnecki; his wife Sharan Michelfelder; and his pets, Dash and Penny.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Benton (Craig), Rebecca Jones (late Clyde) and Elizabeth Fanning (Thomas); his grandchildren, Brittany Urban, David Urban, Austin Luck, Nathan Jones, Tyler Fanning and Thomas Fanning; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Piper Fanning, Waylon and Avery Luck; and his siblings, Timothy Michelfelder (late Karen) and Sharon Adamowski (late Don). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
