He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy Duckett; his grandchildren, Brayden, Austin, Hayden, Evelyn, Harrison, Boden and Emmett; his parents, Francis Duckett and Alsina Duckett; his sisters, Tina Coons (Kenny), Michelle Winch (Rob) and Nadine Jones (Dick); and his pet Moose. He was also cherished by "fur baby" cats.

“Doug and I are very sorry to hear that Forest has died. He was the first person from Gansevoort I met when we were looking at our present home. When I drove into the driveway, it was a very muddy springtime and my car got stuck in the mud. Forest saw me having trouble and he immediately helped by pulling my car out of the mud! I was so impressed by his kindness! He loved to tell us about the trips to Florida with his lovely family. We will miss him.”
