He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl J. Gailor and Violet Morey Gailor; his grandparents, John and Leah Mae Morey; his siblings, John Wallace and Leah Catherine; his wife Marietta; his daughter Susan Barbolt; his granddaughters, Micaela and Keira; his brother-in-law Dominick Guisti (Susan) of Garrison; and his siblings' children, Christopher Guisti (Angela) and Elizabeth Vasta (Kenny) of Peekskill.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Wally's name to The Community Hospice of Saratoga or Saratoga Central Catholic High School.
