Anna Matzelle Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Christof and Stefanie; and her sister Martha. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Burgenland and Vienna; her former husband Rudolf Pfeiffer of Oberradling; her sons, Rudolf Jr. and William; her brother-in-law Frank Adlowitz; her husband Alfred Matzelle of Glendale; her daughter Annemarie Sobetz; her son-in-law Frank; her stepson Al Matzelle; her grandchildren, Dena Smith, Richard Pfeiffer, Christine Kenny, Bill Pfeiffer Jr., Scott, Lisa Sobetz, Victoria, Gabriella Pfeiffer and Ryan Matzelle; her great grandchildren, Amanda, Kevin, Albert, Billy, Joey and Michael; her niece Joan; and her nephew Stephen Hofmeister. She is also survived by her daughter, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home (162 S Putt Corners Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the St. Charles Borromeo Church (2212 US-44, Gardiner, NY 12525). Anna loved dancing, traveling, and was always the first to RSVP to a party or dance.
