He is survived by: his wife Patricia Anne Ferrara (Planz); his daughter Deborah P. Gatti (Claudio); his grandchildren, John J. Planz, Jr. (Nancy), Dustin M. Smith (Lisa), Carolyn M. Gatti-Santora (Brian), Brian J. Planz (Sienna Rutledge) and Allison B. Planz; his brother Peter Arp; his daughter-in-law Christine Buchanan; Dianna Peller and Suzanne Cefola. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
