It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barney Dean Wandell of Geneva, New York, who passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Barney leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Wandell and Betty Wandell. He is survived by: his wife Patti; his sons, Dean Wandell (Kayla) of Worthington, PA and Glen Wandell (Megan) of Penfield, NY; his niece Tina Yancey of Buffalo, NY; and his grandchildren, Christopher Wandell, Madison Grates, Leighton Wandell and Paisley Wandell.
A private celebration will take place as Barney would say, "when the sun's out and the weather is warmer."In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to a local fire department or Veteran's home.
