He is survived by: his close friend Loretta Simmons; his children, Annette Strokes, Bernette Banks and Nathaniel, Jr.; and his siblings, Janette Avery Brinson, Marcell Gramling, Juanita Brinson (Odell), Roxanne Troiano (Nicholas), Elsie Dollar (Armin), Carolyn Brinson, Kathy Singleton (Danny), Grace Mae Brinson, Barbara Brown Brinson, Tom Brinson (Grace), Charlie Brinson, Jerry Brinson (Laura) and Tina Archibal (Carolyn). He is also survived by grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
