He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cardinale and Anna Cardinale (Tandle); his wife Carol; and his siblings, Anne Laurenza (Danato), Marie Romeo (Robert), Jean D'Ettorre (Louis), Phyllis Frank (Anthony), Janet Uhl (Larry), Vincent Cardinale (Mary), Stephen Cardinale (Philomena), James Cardinale (Susan), Albert Cardinale (Catherine) and Edward Cardinale (Mary).

He is survived by: his children, Richard J. Cardinale (Lori), Robert Cardinale (Julie), Shari Cardinale Bruzee and John Cardinale (Aimee). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters- and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home (181 N Main St, Geneva, NY 14456). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Francis de Sales Church (130 Exchange St, Geneva, NY 14456).
