He was predeceased by: his parents, Tracy Sheils and Dorothy Steele Sheils; and his siblings, Donald Sheils and Dolores Ninestine. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his sons, Richard Sheils Jr. (Cyndi) of Waterloo and Nicholas Sheils of Geneva; his brother Tracy Sheils; his sister-in-law Peggy Sheils of Seneca Falls; and his grandchildren, Alilyana, Natalie and Rory. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
