He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Pitifer, (Galusha) and Daniel Pitifer, Sr.; and his brother Daniel Pitifer II. He is survived by: his wife Julia Pitifer (Barilla); his children, Danelle Telarico (Chad) of Farmington, Richard Pitifer, II (Paula Thompson) of Florida and Nicole Giardino (Matthew) of Geneva; his grandchildren, Emily, Carson, Peyton, Ryan and Mya; and his nephew Joseph Barilla. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
