It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel B. Reetz (Germantown, New York), born in Queens, New York, who passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta; his parents, William Reetz and Lucy Reetz; his brother William Reetz; and his son-in-law Timothy Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Reetz Jr. (Janet), Christine Smith, Karen Risch (Lawrence) and Theresa Reetz (Charles); his grandchildren, Danielle (Ralph), Stephanie (Zack), Rowan (Lem), Susie, Theresa (Noah), Alex (Mandie), Michael, Charlie and Jennie; his stepgranddaughter Adina; and his siblings, Lucille Parks and Robert Reetz. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (Church Ave Church Ave, Germantown, NY 12526).
