He is survived by: his significant other Donna Schulze; his siblings, Philip Staats, John Staats and Sally Hinkein; his stepchildren, Sarah Gerlach, Kelly Schulze-Nardone and Michelle Higley; his grandchildren, Benjamin Nardone, Madeline Nardone, Lorelei Higley, Adrian Higley and Sadie Gerlach; and his nieces and nephews, Travis Staats, Todd Hinkein, Jamie Craft, Raymond Staats, Megan Staats, Sarah Staats, Jeremy Staats, Matthew Staats and Dylan Staats.
