It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Bruetsch of Glen Aubrey, New York, born in Johnson City, New York, who passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Bruetsch; her daughter Deborah; her parents, Rita Lainhart (Holmes-Curry) and James Lainhart; and her siblings, June Kinney, Joyce Shafer and James T. Lainhart.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Wittig (Todd Frederick); her grandchildren, Cody Wittig (Chevee), Paige Ballard (Tim), Sydney Aiello (Vito) and Melanie Frederick; her great grandchildren, Easton, Lydia, Waylon, Sunny Jean, Jack, Alexandria and Salvatore; and her close friend Evelyn Edson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jean's honor to the Broome County Fair.
