He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Ruth Wheeler and James Wheeler Sr.; and his brothers, Bobby Wayne Wheeler and Larry Wheeler. He is survived by: his brother Charles Weeler; his girlfriend Pamela Hubbard of Glen Cove; his children, Michelle Williams of Alabama, Terrence Burnett (Tendra) of Kentucky, Tanesha Wilson (Kevan) of Kentucky, Tara Wheeler of Kentucky and Londale Hubbard (Lisa); his siblings, Mildred Wheeler of Glen Cove, Charles Wheeler of Glen Cove and Tom Wheeler (Karine) of Anchorage Alaska; his aunts and uncles, Mattie Wagner, Brenda Evans, Alice Evans, Aaron Evans of Greensboro Alabama and George Evans of Greensboro Alabama; and his grandchildren, Tajarvis Willams, Dejuan Willams, Auniya Little, Zitaurus Little, Camrohn Pittman-Burnett, Cayden Pittman-Burnett, Taylor Burnett, Deion Osborne and Tori Wheeler. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Salem Baptist Church (20 Burns Ave, Glen Cove, NY 11542). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Nassau Knolls Cemetery (500 Port Washington Blvd, Port Washington, NY 11050).
