It is with sadness that the passing of John Joseph Sheerin of Glen Head, New York is shared. John Joseph, born on July 28, 1960, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John Joseph will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John Joseph by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John Joseph is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John Joseph’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Anne. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his daughters, Elizabeth (Michael Enea), Erin (Connor Maguire) and Ashleigh; and his grandson John. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whitting Funeral Home (300 Glen Cove Ave, Glen Head, NY 11545). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St Mary's Roman Catholic Church (110 Bryant Ave, Roslyn, NY 11576).
