He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Virginia Appel; his children, Mark Duelka, Matthew Duelka (Elizabeth) and Meghan Kilcoyne (Joseph); his grandchildren, Ava, Zachary Kilcoyne and Callum Duelka; his siblings, Susan Rondinelli (Peter) and Christopher Duelka (Diana); and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer of Amanda, PJ, Christina, Tiffany, Max and Lucas.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ridgewood Chapels (663 Grandview Ave, Ridgewood, NY 11385). A burial was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 91 Eads St, West Babylon, NY 11704.
