He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Purcell and Emma Hayes Purcell; his significant other Gertrude Scranton; and his son Scott A. Purcell. He is survived by: his children, Deborah L. Foster (Rick) of Salem, Jeffrey L. Purcell (Amy) of Florida and Todd M. Purcell of Salem; and his grandchildren, Charles Hale, Amy Starteri (Chris), Jessica Wright (Jason), Danny Purcell (Jamie) and Erin Peters (Tony). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Parker Bros. Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (2013 Broadway, Watervliet, NY 12189). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205).
