He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Shapiro and Frances Shapiro (Carr). He is survived by: his children, Amy Shapiro and David Shapiro (Miriam); his grandson Estivie Insua-Shapiro; and the mother of his children Rita Shapiro (Gierka).
