He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Carl and Edna Carl (Nagle); and his siblings, Holly Carl and Martin Carl (Cheryl). He is survived by: his significant other Barbara (Schweigard); his children, Mary-Kathryn Walsh (Timothy Walsh) and Jane Borbee (Steven Borbee); his grandchildren, Adele Miller (Luke Miller), Michael Borbee (Ashley Fenimore) and John Jr. (Bree Manley); and his siblings, Ralph Carl (late Fran), Arthur (Nellie Carl), Nicholas (Monica Carl), Joseph (Elizabeth Carl), David (Laura Carl), Edna Mae (Robert Tutoni), Katherine Markumas (late Charles), Donna (Joseph Orlando), Rosanne (Richard Beckley) and Deborah (Gregory Zale).
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home (9 Glenridge Rd, Schenectady, NY 12302). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception (400 Saratoga Rd, Glenville, NY 12302).
