David F. Murphy Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2025, at the age of 81, David F. Murphy (Gloversville, New York), born in Amsterdam, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David F. Murphy to pay them a last tribute.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint David leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Oare Murphy; his children, Debra Bogdan (Timothy) of Broadalbin, Joann Murphy of Palmyra, VA, William Murphy (Shelley) of Broadalbin, Mark Murphy (Novinka) of Amsterdam and Rodney Murphy (Katherine) of Amsterdam; and his brothers, Timothy Murphy of Amsterdam and Terry Murphy (Kelly) of Amsterdam. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with a great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adirondack Baptist Church (1431 NY-29, Gloversville, NY 12078). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery North Main.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adirondack Baptist Church or to Sacandaga Bible Conference, both in care of the funeral home.
