He is survived by: his wife Mary Sornberger Phelps; his children, Deanna (Kevin) and Jim; his sisters, Mary Yeomans of Greenville, NY and Ann Wickline of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Malik (Ali), Matthew, Megan (Neil), Emily, Juliana and Austin. He is also survived by great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
