She was predeceased by: her parents, William Romaine and Laura Romaine (Travis); her husband Elmer J. Smith Jr.; and her siblings, Evelyn Dutcher, William Romaine, James Romaine, Robert Romaine, Richard Romaine and John Romaine.
She is survived by: her son Kurt E. Smith (Laura) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her close friend Richard Quant; her grandchildren, Brad Kiter, Matthew Kiter, Alyssa Smith, Leandra Smith and Nikki Quant; her stepdaughter Amy Quant; and her siblings, Josephine Ward, Laura Dutcher, Beverly Colby, Ethel Meher, Walter Romaine and Steven Romaine. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society.
