He was predeceased by: his parents, John Batease and Shirley Cleveland Batease; his wife Adelia "Mary" Ellsworth; and his sisters, Jennie Lasher, Eleanor Follette, Elaine Crouse and Tammy Bottisti.
He is survived by: his children, Jaime Woods (Jason) of Gloversville, Sandra Anderson of Gloversville, Melissa Rinehart and Craig Rinehart; and his siblings, Raymond Batease (Marlene), John Batease of Amsterdam, Susan Braender of Amsterdam and Dan Batease of Caroga Lake. He is also survived by several grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
