He was predeceased by: his parents, James Handy and Beatrice Handy. He is survived by: his children, James S. Handy (Barbara), Kathleen Ryan and Ann Marie Ferraro; his siblings, Janice and Donald; his grandchildren, Christopher Ryan, Kaitlin Ryan Braidwood (Chad), Isabella Ryan, Michael Ferraro (Allison Wehr), Stephen Ferraro (Nichole) and William Ferraro; his stepgrandchildren, Jason Bowler, Renee Gancarz and Heather Raffan; his great grandchildren, Isla Mae, Mirabel Grace and Declan Timothy Alexander Braidwood; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Troy Bowler, Bailey Gancarz, Jordan, Kent, Bracie Vose, Walker Miller and River Pelky.
As Jim was an avid dog/animal lover, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made in support of the Fulton County Sheriff's Association K-9 Unit, P.O. Box 20, Johnstown, N.Y. 12095.
