With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura J. Carpenter of Gloversville, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ila Frye and Chester Frye Sr.; her husband Ronald Carpenter; her son William C. Wilder; her siblings, Nadine Morrison, Patricia Putman, Minnie Honeywell, Francis Wilkins, Esther May, Donald Frye, Andrew Frye, Merrill Frye Sr. and Chester A. Frye Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Octavia Young and Ronnie Becker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan (Scott Wells), Teresa Chapin of Gloversville, NY, Brenda (Larry Smith), Malisa (Robert LaMont) and Tiffany (Chris DeAngelo). She is also survived by numerous grandkids, great grandkids.
