It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Demarest of Gloversville, New York, who passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Norma had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Norma may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Demarest and Marie Christoff Demarest; and her brother Gordon Demarest. She is survived by: her sister Carol Demarest (Lorenzo Beekman) of Johnstown; her sister-in-law Nancy Demarest of Gloversville; and her close friends, Patty and Jim Scott. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, a great-great-niece, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
