He was predeceased by: his parents, Father Richard Bant and Geraldine Bant; his sister Dawn Cramer; his grandson Lawrence Witzke; his great grandchild Titan Rienhardt; his mother-in-law Viola Satterlee; his sister-in-law Pam Satterlee; and his father-in-law Marvin Herrick.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn Bant; his children, Richard Bant Jr., June Whirls (Michael), David Bant, April Rienhardt (Kevin), Elizabeth Brooks (James), Christina Doak (Joe Miller), Katrina Doak (Chance Gray), Katherine Mueller (Schaefer), Laura Fosmire (Thomas) and Seneca Bent (Percy Steele); and his sister Deborah Bant. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
