He was predeceased by : his parents, Juan Prieto and Josefaines Prieto (Mateo). He is survived by : his wife Margaret Prieto (Janas); his son John; his daughter-in-law Linda; his children, Justin (Michele) and Jessie (Edward); and his grandchildren, Christopher, Candace, Johnny, Brianna, Ashlynn, Colton and Ethan.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in John's name to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
