John W. Shippee Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John W. Shippee Sr. in Gouverneur, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Shippee and Dorothy Shippee (Worden); his wife Patricia Ann Hance; his children, William "Billy" Shippee and Donna Hatcher; his son-in-law Robert Lashbrooks; and his siblings, Harry, Leon Shippee, Gracie Loucks and Clara Abrantes.
He is survived by: his children, John Jr., Lisa of Gouverneur, Matthew, Kristy of Richville, Janice Hull of Gouverneur and Jeannette Lashbrooks of Somerville; his daughter-in-law Nichole Shippee; and his siblings, Elias "Michael" (Faye Shippee) and Jeanette White. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
