He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Closs and Sandra J. Closs (McIntyre). He is survived by: his significant other Joann Risley; his children, Maci Prashaw, Brendon Closs and Elainie Closs; his stepchildren, DJ Risley, Amy Risley, Shelbie (Scott Cousino) and Troy Brothers; and his sister Christine McDougall. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
