He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita A. Barry; his son William C. Barry III; and his siblings, Doris Ellman (Charles), Francis Maltbie (Julius) and Patricia Wasley (Glenn).

He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Finn (David) and Susan Gleason (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
