He was predeceased by : his parents, John Martin and Margaret Martin (McGovern); and his siblings, Mike Martin, Marilyn Rankowitz (Martin) and Robert.

He is survived by : his brother Kenneth; his grandson David Armstrong; his stepdaughters, Dawn Warren (Danny Williams Jr), Lisa Walker, Amy Wolfe (Dave Armstrong) and Beth Crouch (Brad Getty); his children, Colleen Halliwell (Paul), Daniel (Karen) and Dale Martin (Katie); his grandchildren, Carly Getty, Matthew Getty, Aviana Armstrong and Axton Armstrong; and his children, Kathleen Gilbert, Charleen Boboyski and Donald Richard Jr.. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
