He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl R. Melendy and Marie Melendy (Marubio); his brother Michael Melendy; and his son William "Billy" Joseph Melendy. He is survived by : his children, Peggy Lee Shores of Mount Tabor and Franklin Earl Melendy; his stepchildren, Rosa Martell of Rutland and Robert Keyes of Rutland; and his siblings, Marie Purtle of Tolland, CT, David Melendy of Andover, VT and Barbara Rowe (Leonard). He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
