We announce the death of Jerry A. Daggs of Greece, New York, who passed away on September 6, 2026. Jerry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Jerry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Jerry will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Jerry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his father Howard. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Joshua Daggs (Jena), Kaleigh DeCann (Eric) and Schuyler Daggs (Bethany Poppenberg); his mother Margaret Daggs; his brothers, Howard Daggs and Steve Daggs; and his close friend Jim McCann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vay-Schleich and Meeson (1075 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Journey Christian Church (3955 Mt Read Blvd, Rochester, NY 14616).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to University of Rochester Transplant Patient Fund or for UR Medicine liver disease research.
