We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, Marvin James Reese of Greece, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Marvin James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Marvin James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Kathleen VanCheri; and his son-in-law Randy Robertson. He is survived by: his wife Betty Reese; his children, Cindy Robertson Debra Galan (late Randy), James Reese and Jill Coppeta (Joseph); and his son-in-law Charles VanCheri (late Kathleen). He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vay-Schleich and Meeson (1075 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626). A prayer was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Marvin's memory, in gratitude for their compassionate care.
