He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Potter; his parents, Frank Potter and Elsie Potter; and his siblings, Harry (Joyce), Frank, Bruce Potter and Elizabeth Potter.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert E., Jr. Potter (Cheri) and Michael Potter (Laurie); his grandchildren, Miranda Couture (Courtney), Lauren Genge (Jarrod), Joshua Potter, Ryan Potter and Rachel Potter; his great grandchildren, Carol, Kennedy and Jarrod, Jr.; and his sisters, Joyce Brosi and Marilyn Schmid (Ronald). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (25 Westminster Rd, Rochester, NY 14607).
