He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanislas Karkos and Eudoxie Boberskyj; his brother Francois Karkos; and his daughter Melanie Karkos. He is survived by: his wife Joyce G. Karkos; his children, Michele Noto (John) and Marc Karkos; his grandchildren, Michael Noto (Jolene), Gabriele Gato (Aaron) and Valerie McCarthy; his great grandchildren, Hayley McCarthy, Noah McCarthy, Briella Gato, Aubrey Gato and Lincoln Noto; and his siblings, Slawko Boberskyj and Oksana DeVoursney. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, & dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home (1411 Vintage Ln, Rochester, NY 14626). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Lawrence Church (1000 N Greece Rd, Rochester, NY 14626). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (2461 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612).
