He was predeceased by: his parents, George C. Hofmann and Ida Hofmann; and his siblings, George R. Hofmann, Louie W. Hofmann and Ida Lou Hofmann.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hofmann; his son Philip; his daughter-in-law Virginia Hofmann, Jr.; his daughter Heidi Hofmann; his grandchildren, Jonathan P. Hofmann, Kelcie M. Hofmann, Joshua Hofmann and Johnathan Hofmann; his great grandchildren, Desarae Spicer, Shyanne Hofmann, Melanie Hofmann and Budyy Hofmann; and his sisters, Joan M. Whittinghill and Beth Short. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Root Funeral Home (23 N Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Phil's name to the First Presbyterian Church of Smithville, 5279 NY-41, Smithville Flats, NY 13841 or Chenango County Hospice, 33-39 Court St, Norwich, NY 13815.
