He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Shaw and Marion Horton Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Marie Swartout; his son Allyn Shaw (Mary); his sister Arlene DiBello (Russell); and his nieces, Danielle Rothe, Michelle DiBello and Meghan Cardona.
