He is survived by: his wife Sheila Clous Smith; and his children, Cindy Spiezio Paikin of Syracuse, Chuck Smith (Marguerite) of Cambridge, Frank Smith (Joy) of Davenport, Florida, Lenny Atwell (Veronica) of Greenwich, Lenore Murrane (Bill) of Greenwich and Jesse Atwell (Lorie) of Greenwich. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
