He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Gillis and Alice Gillis (Mosher); his wife Mary Alice Gillis (Lundberg); and his siblings, Burton, Ray Gillis and Helen Jepson.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Gillis (Laura Larossa) and Cathleen Kessler (Donald); his grandchildren, Travis, Nicole, Elena and Alesia; and his brothers, John Gillis and Ralph Gillis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
