He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon McKay and Geneva McKay (Peppin); and his siblings, Ronnie McKay, Kirk McKay and Yvonne Spry.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. McKay (Cook); his children, Rhonda Garrow Danette (Mike), Jeff Hill (Raine) and Julie Hill (Melissa); his grandchildren, Krista Neff (Arthur), Jonathan Garrow (Delany), Emmalee Garrow, Alyssa Garrow of Ryan Garrow, T. J, Talbot (Linsey) and Kellie Talbot (Blake); and his sister Vivian Frink (Gary). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
