Richard Fenton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Fenton of Groton, New York, who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke A Fenton and Celia M Fenton (Peabody); and his wife Emily. He is survived by: his daughters, Roxanne Fenton (Anthony Smith), Robin Roy (Tim) and Erin Skinner (Shaun); his grandchildren, Avery Fenton (Kelsey), Charnee Moore, Brittney Smith, Destini Smith, Damian Fenton and Logan Roy; and his sisters, Emma Tyler and Marie Walsh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was a volunteer with the Cortland County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) for 9 years at the Cortland Regional Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospicare in memory of Richard and/or Emily.
