Russell Barber Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Russell Barber of Groton, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Russell farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Russell is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Dale Barber and Beatrice Powers Barber; his wife Marilyn Frost Barber; and his brothers, Ronald Barber and Bruce Barber.
He is survived by: his children, Mandy Berry (Michael) of Cortland, David Barber (Irene) of Seneca Falls and Lori Conklin of Williamson; his stepchildren, Ruthann Jones (James) of Groton, Charles Frost (Jackie) of Bedford, VA and Kathy Little (Steven) of McGraw; and his brother Dennis Barber (Annette) of Cortland. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
