He was predeceased by : his close friend Edith Thomas. He is survived by : his sister Mary Estelle Liebenhagen; his sons, John B. Van Denburgh III (April Van Denburgh) and Eric J. Van Denburgh (Jessica Van Denburgh); his grandchildren, Candace Race, Kyndra Race and Kyra Van Denburgh; his great grandchild Ivy Hunt; his nephew Fred Fischer (Christine); and his nieces, Sheri Fischer and Dawn Callahan (John).
