He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Yager and Elsie Hungerford (Shumway); and his brothers, James Yager, Wayne Yager and Clifford Yager II.

He is survived by: his wife Yvonne; his children, Audie and Gail Yager of Oneonta, NY.; and his brother Darrell (Joan) of Elmira, NY.. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
