He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Zindle and Lucy Zindle (Kildee); his wife Barbara J. Ackerman; his grandsons, Gerald Allen and Kevin Fawthrop; and his sisters, Violet Hadley, Dorothy Nobes, Rosie Osborn and Joan Howard.

He is survived by: his children, Wayne Zindle, Darlene, Eric Fawthrop, Herbie Zindle, Kathleen, Mark Palmeter and Joseph Zindle; and his siblings, Pansy Thomas and Earl Zindle. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
