She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwin Monroe and Elizabeth Monroe; her husband Terrence Carawan; and her brother David James Monroe. She is survived by: her daughter Liz; her grandson Sterling; her brother Owen (Christine Riley); and her sister-in-law Pat Washington. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
