He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Stroup Vitale and Alexander Lell. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Erica Lell Snipes (Chris), Karin Cronqvist (Lasse) and Andreas Egli (Kathrin Ammann); his grandchildren, Teresa, Jonathan and Christine Snipes; his children, Nils, Karl, Sven, Ylva Cronqvist, Delia, Inez Staudenmann, Samuel and Edith Egli; and his siblings, Fred Vitale (Margaret Guttshall) and Cecelia Vitale-Reddy (Frank).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to public school music programs in Dennis's memory.
