She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Willis; her granddaughter Patti Emerling; her great grandchildren, Piper and Claire; and her siblings, Clement Ehrhart Jr., Mary Jane Nelson, Betty Weaver and Margaret Nowak.
She is survived by: her children, Denny Willis (late Debra), Dianne Emerling (Rick) and Dawn Walczak (Paul); and her grandchildren, Kristin Myers (Dominic), Sean Willis (Victoria), Christopher Emerling (Sarah), Nancy Herdic (Warren), Brian Walczak (Ericka), Danny Walczak, Lisa Calabro (Vinny), Ryan Cole (Alyssa) and Kelsey McGowan (Greg). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gert's name may be made to Hospice Buffalo to continue their incredible care in her honor.
